Classes at Lee-Ming Chinese School
Lee-Ming Chinese School offers classes for both natural Chinese speakers ("Traditional" classes are conducted in Chinese) and for those who speak English and wish to learn Chinese ("Bi-lingual" classes are conducted in English)

學寫國字,造詞,造句,培養學生聽,說, 讀 ,寫中文能力及對中文的興趣, 以各種不同的教學方式, 來 激發學生的參與感, 學習漢語拼音,四聲拼音. 並加強中文的造句和造詞能力。 Advance Level (1): Learn Chinese in a fun and playful environment. Teaching strategy will focus on speaking and listen comprehension by using Pingyin system, Chinese grammar, Chinese character recognition and writing, and sentence composition. Students will also learn Chinese folk songs and play games. Curriculum based on Living Mandarin (3), e-Pen, CD published by Taiwan Language and Culture Association. Goal: Students will be able to recognize key learning words without Pingyin and be able to compose simple paragraphs using provided key words. Understand how to apply Chinese grammar in sentence composition after completing Living Mandarin (3)

用看圖說話,練習句型,學習作文,加強學生讀,寫中文能力. 利用生活訊息使學生更能活用中文. 引導學生讀散文,短篇小說, 抒發情詩,歌曲, 和中國歷史文化的興趣, 並且寫他們自己的故事。 Advanced Level (3): Class emphasizes on in-depth learning and understanding of Chinese characters, including both traditional and simplified forms, reading and speaking proficiencies, and composition comprehension. Students will learn how to compose independently and recite their works aloud in class. Students will learn how to read and write essays and short stories, lyrics of Chinese folk songs, Chinese poems, as well as Chinese history and culture. Class will also emphasize Chinese-English translation. Goal: Students will be able to complete and pass weekly oral and written exams and be able to compose short articles and essays.

Goal: Students will be able to write Chinese characters without assistance, compose sentences and short paragraphs, and improve listening and speaking proficiencies after completion.
